My husband works in New Plymouth for a few days each month. After asking at his hotel if there were any beachfront cafes in New Plymouth (they didn't know of any !) he discovered Gusto one day. We went there for lunch, it was a lovely setting and building. We were concerned at the long wait for his omelette but when it arrived we could see why ! It had actually been baked and was huge ! He struggled to eat half and took the other half with him for dinner as he was working night shift. We will definitely go here again would just suggest a little fine tuning on their coffee ( I am a barista and cafe owner of five years in a busy beach resort town ) and do some advertising so out of towers know you are there !

It was a wonderful experience for my wife and I and I have voted on Taranaki MUST eats and drinks as the very best cafe in Taranaki. The staff are so kind and friendly and its a lovely location to enjoy a wonderfull meal.

THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff at Gusto New Plymouth. We had booked for my Dad's 80th birthday lunch with around 29 guests that came to celebrate this special occasion, the staff especially Kim, the chef's (Great meals!) & bar stewards were absolutely fantastic with everything from a very warm welcome to making sure all our needs were catered for, the food was excellent well presented and enjoyed by all. What an awesome team of lovely people, well done GUSTO'S NEW PLYMOUTH. Once again thank you to all of you, something we will always treasure. Will we be back? You bet. The Fox family.

My siblings and I held a surprise 60th lunch for our Dad on 3 Sept and were utterly utterly impressed with the service, professionalism, efficiency, friendliness and amazing food on the set menu we had organised, The wine selection was fantastic and all of our guests went away raving about this restaurant. Karla the Manager was more than helpful and given that this function was organised remotely via email she and her staff did an outstanding job. Look no further if you need a venue for an important function in New Plymouth!
